Merry Christmas!

Hello you lovely lot! Would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a Merry Christmas, may your day be filled with food and booze!

So tomorrow is a massive day of football, Can Leicester continue their sensational form and push for an incredible title push? Will LVG still be in a job after Man United's trip to Stoke? All in I know is, it is going to be a cracking day of football.

Stoke 2 - 1 Man United - This is a must win for United, no win in 6 games, playing poorly and a manager who is losing the plot. I really see the Dutchman losing his job if they do not pick up a result in this one and the way United are playing at the moment, I wouldn't be backing them. Stoke have already beaten City and Chelsea this season and will feel fairly confident on another win here.

Bournemouth 2 - 2 Crystal Palace - I see this one being a goal fest, both sides play attacking football and I think this one will be a cracker. Bournemouth are on quite a run of form after 3 wins on the bounce and will fear nobody. Palace are much better away from home than they are away due to the pace in the side so they can hit teams on the break. A real Christmas treat with plenty of goals.

Chelsea 2 - 1 Watford - I haven't said much about the sacking of Jose but I think the players were an absolute disgrace, doesn't matter if you don't like the manager, you should play for the badge and the fans who pay to watch you. Chelsea will just about edge this one but Watford were supreme against Liverpool and will create chances. A part of me wants The Hornets to get a result and prove how bad Chelsea are.

Liverpool 1 - 2 Leicester - Why can't The Foxes go all the way and win the league? They are a joy to watch and I think they will get the points at Anfield. Liverpool were truly woeful against Watford and were lucky it wasn't more than the three. They seem to do well against the big sides but run out of ideas when it comes to the teams they should be beating. The Foxes will cause havoc against a very shaky defence without Martin Skirtel.

Tottenham 3 - 1 Norwich - The Canaries were superb at Old Trafford and should have won even more comfortable but I can't see them getting a result here. Spurs are in good form and they are looking like a top four side but it is a funny season as Newcastle stunned Spurs a few weeks ago.

Southampton 1 - 3 Arsenal - Arsenal are in great form and were brilliant on Monday against City and the way Mesut Ozil is playing at the moment is just incredible. The boy is just world class, also Oliver Giroud cannot stop scoring goals and I fancy him to continue his goal scoring form.

Well guys that is it for now, hope you all have a great day! Merry Christmas x

Predictions!!

Hello people! It's that time of the week again where I wrongly predict the scores from the 6 Premier League games.

Crystal Palace 2 - 0 Southampton - I really enjoy watching Palace play, they have lots of pace and goals in them. I thought they played very well last Monday at Everton and could have grabbed all the three points. Southampton are on a real bad run at the moment and somehow couldn't beat Villa last week when for the majority of the game, they were well on top. I think Palace will win this one quite comfortably and pile more misery on Koeman's side.

Bournemouth 1 - 1 Man United - A few years ago I would have predicted an easy win for United but now I really don't see how United will be The Cherries. United looked better against Wolfsburg but still look a poor side in my opinion. Bournemouth will fear nobody after their stunning win at Chelsea where they deserved the points and I think they will cause United problems. Louis Van Gaal's side are in an injury crisis at the moment but I think this game has a draw written all over it.

West Ham 1 - 2 Stoke - The Hammers got a very good point at Old Trafford last week and with their injury list it was a very good performance but they are a funny side who seem to play well against the bigger sides and struggle when they play the teams around them. Stoke were phenomenal last week and played Man City off the park. This is going to be a tight one but I think Stoke will grab the points.

Aston Villa 1 - 3 Arsenal - Arsenal were supreme in midweek and Oliver Giroud was even better than that. If Arsenal would have gone out the Champions League then this one could have been a potential banana skin but I just can't see anything other than an away win here. Villa somehow grabbed a point last week but they are in massive trouble in my opinion. A routine win for The Gunners and I am backing Giroud to continue his fine goal scoring form.

Tottenham 2 - 0 Newcastle - Tottenham are in very good form and with everyone else seeming to not want to win the league, if they carry on then they are in with a shout. Newcastle got a very much needed win last time out and played some good football but I can only see one result here and that is a home win.

Leicester 2 - 1 Chelsea - Make no mistake about it, that win over Porto in midweek papered over the cracks, Chelsea were awful against Bournemouth and something isn't right. I don't think Leicester will fear anyone at the moment. The Foxes are just brilliant this season and although I don't think they will win the league, there is no reason why they won't be in the top four in May.

That's all for now! Have a good one!

Bits and Bobs!

Hello people and welcome to a midweek Strike! Coming up, going to be talking about the shock appointment of Gary Neville to Valencia and the possibility of him maybe managing England one day, Man United's boring football and being knocked out of the Champions League. Also a look at Arsenal's big game in Greece where they have to win by 2 clear goals or a result of 3-2.

Gary Neville to Valencia

I was pretty shocked to hear about Gary Neville being appointed the manager of Spanish outfit, Valencia but I think he has all the qualities to be a success and maybe replace Roy Hodgson as England manager. I really enjoyed Neville's punditry on Sky Sports because the way he explained certain things was pretty fascinating and I found myself agreeing with him on most things. I think he will make a very good manager because if a player isn't putting in a shift then I don't see Neville turning a blind eye. There is no doubt it is a slight gamble to appoint a manager with no real managerial experience but he has a great footballing mind and it is going to be really interesting to see how he gets on and he could actually get further in the Champions League this year than Louis Van Gaal.

Manchester United

Everyone who follows this blog will know how unimpressed I have been with Man United so far this season and last night just summed up how poor they are and how inept their manager is. Louis Van Gaal has spent an absolute fortune in his 18 months and to be honest, I haven't seen much improvement. There are probably three players who I would say are genuine class and they are David De Gea, who keeps United in games on his own and without him they would be midtable and next summer I think they will lose him. Chris Smalling has come on leaps and bounds and is probably the best English centre back at the moment and the other is Anthony Martial, who is still only 20 years old and I think he will be a top player in a few years. The reason I say Louis Van Gaal is inept is because the players he has let go are better than the players he has bought in. Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernandez, Robin Van Persie, Adnan Januzaj, Nani and Angel Di Maria would all do a job for United and probably a better one than the current players. Look at Memphis Depay, good going forward at times but he is the most frustrating player I have ever watched. The amount of times he gives the ball away is unforgivable. Louis Van Gaal should be under massive pressure and last season a top four place was good enough to stabilize the team. This season there are no excuses, this is his squad, his money and I really think that he has to win something this year.

Arsenal's big night

Tonight is a massive game for The Arsenal, I think they can do it but they only have themselves to blame if they don't qualify because results haven't been good enough. As an Arsenal fan, I want us to win every possible game and to be honest if we do end up going into the Europa League then I would want to win it. Every other European Country seems to take it seriously but we seem to turn up our noses at it. It is a trophy end of the day, maybe not quite as glamorous as the Champions League but if you don't want to win a trophy then you should be questioning yourself. There is no doubt that Arsenal will miss Sanchez and Cazorla but the return of Theo Walcott could be a key factor. His pace and recent form could fire the Gunners into the knockout stages. The first goal is key, like Monaco last year when Arsenal scored the French side just gave up and were holding on. I am going for an Arsenal 3 - 0 win tonight. Aaron Ramsey will get on the score sheet as well.

Well that's all for now and I will be back tomorrow for a look back on tonight's action where Chelsea also need a win to guarantee qualification because it would be such a shame to see Jose go out.

Cheers!

New Week, Different predictions!

Hello you lovely lot! Welcome to another Strike! You know the drill by now, going to pick the top games of the weekend and give my predictions which will probably be wrong as always!

Stoke 2 - 2 Man City - I can see a lot of goals in this one, both sides eased into the Semi Finals of the Capital One Cup in the week. Stoke will want to bounce back after their defeat last week to Sunderland and I think the home fans will demand a response but Ryan Shawcross being suspended will be a huge blow. Man City are back to winning ways after a slightly wobbly couple of weeks but another injury to Sergio Aguero is not a good sign. Not a game a for defending with lots of goals.

Arsenal 2 - 0 Sunderland - This is a must win for The Gunners, they have been below par over the past couple of weeks and have dropped silly points but I do expect them to bounce back against a Sunderland who have been in good form recently after an absolute torrid start to the season. How many more players will get injured for Arsene Wenger? I don't think this is just down to bad luck, something isn't right at the club but I do think with home advantage, The Arsenal will get the points.

Manchester United 1 - 1 West Ham - I really don't know how Man Utd are up near the top of the table, they were terrible last weekend and somehow got a draw. This isn't the United that I know, the boring football, lack of pace and creativity and it is down to one man....the manager. I really can see this game being a draw because there isn't a thing to fear about going to Old Trafford anymore and West Ham play some good football so it is a draw for me.

West Brom 1 - 3 Tottenham - After a dismal game against Chelsea last weekend, I think Spurs will get back to winning ways here. Harry Kane will definitely grab a goal here. Spurs do play some good football and I think it will be to much for The Baggies.

Chelsea 2 - 0 Bournemouth - I would love it, if The Cherries got a result but sadly but I can see Chelsea being a bit too strong. There are still problems at the Bridge and the behaviour of Diego Costa is something that is a problem. If he was scoring goals and playing well then you could understand his frustration but at the moment it looks like he couldn't score in a brothel, never mind on a pitch.

Newcastle 0 - 5 Liverpool - This is the banker of the weekend, if Newcastle defend anything like they have been then this could end up double figures. They were utterly dreadful last weekend against a very good Palace side but surely they cannot play any worse? Liverpool look good away from home and I don't see them having a problem here.

Cheers for reading! I will be back!

Previewwww!

Hello you lovely lot and welcome to another edition of The Weekly Strike. I haven't done one for a few weeks as I have been so busy but I am back!

There are some absolute cracking games this weekend I am going to give my predictions for the top  games that stand out to me.

Aston Villa 1 - 0 Watford - Aston Villa simply have to win this game, it is their Cup Final. Another defeat for Remi Garde's side will push them further adrift at the bottom of the table and in serious trouble. They were awful last weekend at Everton and could have been beaten 10 nil. I can see Villa just about getting the 3 points because the home faithful will demand it. Watford were so unlucky last weekend in the defeat to Man United, if they had taken their chances then they would have got the points. The Hornets could well win this game because Troy Deeney is in good form and with Villa's defence looking very suspect. I predict a very tense game and a home win....just.

Crystal Palace 2 - 0 Newcastle - The Eagles would have been kicking themselves last time out after Sunderland grabbed a very unlucky win. I do predict they will bounce back here as The Toon are in freefall and the Manager is under massive pressure already. Rumours of a fall out between Steve McLaren and some of his senior players does not bode well here. I really fear for Newcastle in this one, they don't score enough goals and they can't defend. An easy home win for Palace.

Leicester 2 - 1 Man United - This one has the makings of an cracker and I don't think it will disappoint. I have said it all season that I have not been impressed with United and on Wednesday in the Champions League it was another woeful display. There is no creative, no pace and no ideas in that team at the moment. LVG is getting away with it because they are sitting very close to the top but if I was a fan, I would be so frustrated. Can Jamie Vardy break the record? There is no reason why he can't, everything he touches turns to goals and the way The Foxes are playing at the moment, I can really see them getting the win.

Tottenham 2 - 2 Chelsea - You have to give Tottenham enormous credit, they are in top form and they could win this, Harry Kane has found his scoring boots and they aren't conceding many. The reason I am going for a draw is because as much I have enjoyed the lack of form of Chelsea this season, I think they will be up for this one, especially after they were tonked here last season. I think Harry Kane will score again in what is always a feisty encounter with no love lost.

West Ham 2 - 1 West Brom - West Ham were pretty average last weekend but did create a few good chances and I think they will bounce back here. West Brom just about got over the line last week in their win over Arsenal but I think they will come up short here.

Norwich 1 - 3 Arsenal - This game is another one of those games that if you really want to push for a title challenge then you need to win and I think Arsenal will have too much for The Canaries who to be fair, do play some good football and I am a fan of Alex Neil. The way Mesut Ozil is playing at the moment is breath-taking and for me, he is one of the best midfielders on the planet. Norwich will create problems and will punish The Gunners if they are not up for it but I can see it being an away win.

Right then, that is that! I will be back tomorrow night for a round up of all the talking points!

Cheers!

Review!!!!

Hello people! Normally I would do a review from all the games but I have decided I am just going to talk about all the massive talking points from the weekend. This week I am going to be talking about the form of Jamie Vardy, The North London Derby and the relegation form of Chelsea.

Jamie Vardy for England

What a season this boy is having, he has now scored for 9 games in a row and he deserves every single bit of credit he is getting. If there is a player who should be the first pick for England for the upcoming pointless international break it is him. The story of him playing non league football a few years ago to now the top goal scorer in the Premier League is remarkable. In my opinion he is the best English striker in the country at the moment and I don't care about his age and the question of how long can he carry on for? He is scoring goals for fun and for me if your playing well for your club then you deserve a call up. I don't care about how many goals Wayne Rooney has scored for England or the disgraceful fact he is our captain,  he isn't scoring goals for Man United or in any sort of form so I am begging you Roy, please pick Jamie Vardy.

North London Derby

This game is always the first game one I look for in the fixture list because for me it is the biggest Derby in the Premier League. There is a true dislike between the fans and every year it goes up a notch. Spurs came into the game in very good form and with the fact Arsenal had so many injuries, there was a feeling that they could get a rare win at The Emirates. I hate to say it but in the first half, Spurs were by far the better team and really could have been out of sight, Harry Kane was causing all sorts of problems and the future England international Dele Alli was running the midfield. Spurs were superb, that really hurts to say that but they should have won the game but Kieran Gibbs came on and grabbed a point and it was more relief than anything. A lot was made of the small section of Arsenal fans who tore down a banner a few weeks ago in the League Cup at White Hart Lane but it is quite amazing how not a lot has been made of the mindless and plain stupidity of a section of the Spurs fans on Sunday, ripping off sinks in the toilets. Every single club has a small minority of complete Neanderthals who aren't really football fans, they are just there to cause trouble and ruin for the people who go just to support their team. There is no difference between ripping hoardings down or breaking sinks off a wall, if you can't go to a football match and have a beer or 2 and behave like an adult then please fucking stay at home and watch it with a can of Stella and fight with yourself and let the true fans enjoy the beautiful game.

Chelsea....

I honestly think that Jose Mourinho has lost the plot and his actions are not helping the team. How can they go from cruising to the title last season to probably the worst team in the league this year? Look at Diego Costa, he seems more concerned about starting a fight than actually doing what he is supposed to do and that is put the ball in the net. Eden Hazard looks like he would struggle to get into the Accrington Stanley team at the moment and somehow Gary Cahill will still get an England call up ahead of Scott Dann.

A very quick one this week but I am going to start doing random blogs on different footballing subjects soon!

Cheers!

One Night in Munich and Weekend Super 6.

Hello people and welcome to a brand new Strike, this week I am going to be talking about my trip to Munich for the Champions league tie between Bayern Munich and Arsenal and my experiences of the beautiful City from the people, the food and the tasty beer. I will also be giving my predictions for the weekend.

On Wednesday morning , I was up bright and early for my first ever European away day and to say I was excited was an understatement. I've never been to Germany so I was looking forward to seeing what was like and getting to go to the Allianz Arena was something I was buzzing for. So I got on my Train to St Pancras and the first thing I done was open an ice cold can of cider and the looks I got from certain people was amusing but I really wasn't bothered because having a drink on the way to football is the norm for me and many other football fanatics.

Once I got to St Pancras, it was the journey on the Piccadilly Line to Heathrow Terminal 5, where my excitement for Munich really kicked in. The flight to Munich is a reasonably short one, only about an hour and a half. As we were approaching landing, I looked out the window and could see this luminous red building that stood out like a sore thumb, The Allianz Arena. We got through Passport control and hailed a taxi to take us to the ground, which was about an half hour journey and the cost of the Taxi wasn't to bad. The big red building was getting closer and it really is difficult to explain just how magnificent the stadium is. We pulled up and I had my Arsenal shirt and there were some Munich fans on the other side of the road who were laughing and shouting at us, in a very friendly manner.

It was very calm going into the ground and there was minimal police presence and no segregation between the two sets of fans. As you go into the stadium, everyone gets searched and that didn't bother me in the slightest but there was no queuing or delays. The concourse outside the blocks was again something I haven't experienced at a football match, no segregation and even the toilets there was both sets of fans. We grabbed a non alcoholic beer which was lovely and if you didn't know it didn't have any alcohol, you would have thought it was a proper pint. It was all civil and the Germans have got it right on football, treat people like adults and 99% of people will act like one.

The Atmosphere in the ground was amazing and the Arsenal fans were fantastic and in full voice and even though the night didn't turn out how we would have wanted, the fans sung throughout. Bayern Munich are a world class team and they remind me of when your playing Fifa online against someone and they are just on a different level. If Mesut Ozil's goal would have been given then maybe it would have been a different outcome but on the night, we just came up short and it wasn't helped by the injuries to key players and we didn't have a strong bench and when they can bring on Arjen Robben and Arturo Vidal then says just how strong their team is.  I can't fault the players as they put in 100% and they all came over to the away section and received a very good response.

I absolutely loved Munich, the people were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. I am not a massive beer drinker but their stuff is on a different level compared to what I am used to. If you ever get the chance to go there then do it because it is a lovely place with lots to do and see, I will be definitely going back.

Predictions!

Bournemouth 2 - 2 Newcastle United - This is a 6 pointer, both sides need a win and I can see a lot of goals here, Bournemouth need to start playing the football that got them up in the first place and Newcastle just need to learn how to defend but I don't think this one will be a game for defending.

Manchester United 2 - 0 West Brom - I watched a bit of the game against Moscow and I am still convinced by United. Rooney may have scored but they didn't look good at all and if it wasn't for some good keeping by David De Gea and some excellent covering by Chris Smalling then I have no doubt they would have lost. I think they will win this one though but The Baggies will cause problems and I wouldn't be surprised to see them nick a goal.

West Ham 2 - 2 Everton - Another game that could have a few goals in it. West Ham were shocking at Watford and could have lost by more. Everton blew Sunderland away last Sunday and I think Kone will grab another goal here. I see a thriller here.

Stoke City 2 - 1 Chelsea - Chelsea may have won midweek but I don't see them winning here, they look awful in the league and I don't see Diego Costa scoring another goal, his dive against Kiev was embarrassing. Eden Hazard looks lost and he was dropped in the Champions league so will be interesting to see if he is called up. Stoke have been in strange form and they were awful against Watford last time they played at home but I really think they will pile more pressure on Jose's side.

Arsenal 3 - 1 Tottenham - The Gunners are a different beast in the League this year and although it was a disappointing night in Munich, I can't see anything other than a home win. Spurs have been good form recently, got to give them credit but I just don't see them getting anything but I do see Harry Kane getting one.

Liverpool 2 - 1 Crystal Palace - Liverpool will be in confident after their fantastic display at Chelsea last time out. Palace are without a win in 4 games and I just can't see them getting a result here.

Thank you for reading! I will be back over the weekend!

Saturday 31 October 2015

Preview!!!!

Hello people and welcome to another Strike! There are plenty of good games this weekend so hopefully we shall see lots of goals. The early kick off is a belter and it is The Special One coming up against The Normal One as it is Chelsea at home to Liverpool. In my opinion, Jose Mourinho can't afford to lose this game otherwise he may be the next managerial casualty.

So let's crack on with my predictions for the weekend and I have decided to change the format a little bit, rather than do a weekly predictions for every Premier League game, I am going to do my super 6 for the week.

Chelsea 1 - 1 Liverpool - I don't see either one of these sides getting the three points, Chelsea are all over the place at the moment and their key players who were instrumental last season are very below par. Eden Hazard who was unstoppable last season is almost unrecognizable and his misery continued in midweek as his penalty miss dumped The Blues out of the League Cup at Stoke. Liverpool will come into this game on the back of a disappointing draw last week to Southampton and a scrappy win in the Cup at home to Bournemouth and I think this game has a score draw written all over it.

Crystal Palace 1 - 1 Man United - This one could be a very tight one, Palace were thumped in the Cup at The Etihad and will look to bounce back in front of their fans. Where do I even begin with Man United? They were pretty awful against Middlesbrough and it was another poor performance from Wayne Rooney who saw his penalty saved as well as Ashley Young's. I hear a lot of United fans who claim that Rooney is their best player, well if a player who doesn't score goals, doesn't create goals and who misses penalties is your best player then it must say a lot about how poor your team is. Either side could nick this but I am going for a score draw.

Swansea 1 - 3 Arsenal - Somehow I don't think that Arsene Wenger will pick the same side that got outplayed, outthought and outfought in Sheffield on Tuesday night. Swansea are not the same side that were playing some lovely football at the start of the season and that is why I think Arsenal will win this one, despite the injuries to key players quite comfortably. I also fancy Oliver Giroud to keep up the fine goal scoring form he is in at the moment.

Watford 1 - 2 West Ham - West Ham are a good footballing side and what Slaven Billic is doing there deserves a lot of credit and I really think he could lead West Ham to a top 6 finish. They were brilliant last week against Chelsea last week and I can see them grabbing the points here. Watford were absolutely awesome away at Stoke last weekend and it was good to see Troy Deeney score his first goal of the season but I just think The Hammers will just about edge it.

Everton 2 - 1 Sunderland - I was at The Emirates last week and I thought Everton played some lovely football at times and were a tad unlucky not to grab point but once again is the defending that let them down but I think they will bounce back here. Sunderland for 45 minutes last week were terrible and were lucky not to be a goal or 2 down but that dubious penalty and the red card to Coliccini just before half time changed the whole game but they always seem to beat Newcastle but I don't see them getting anything at Goodison this weekend.

Tottenham 3 - 0 Aston Villa - Aston Villa are in turmoil at the moment and sacking Tim Sherwood without having a replacement is madness, I think this could be a real tough one for The Villa and Spurs were pretty good last week at Bournemouth and I think if Harry Kane wants to, he could grab another hat trick.

So there are my Super 6 for the weekend! I will back tomorrow for a review of todays games and all the big talking points!

Cheers!

Predictions!

Hello people, sorry I didn't do a review of last weeks games but this week has been a busy one but i will be definitely be back on Sunday to do a full review of this weekends games!

Here are my predictions for this weekend!

Aston Villa 1 - 0 Swansea -  This game is massive for both sides, a defeat for either will put them in trouble. Aston Villa simply have to win this game and I think they will just about get the three points. As for Swansea, they are looking very poor at the moment and they just can't buy a win. A big game for two under pressure managers.

Leicester 2 - 1 Crystal Palace - I think this game could be a very entertaining one, Leicester should kick off at 2 nil down because they seem to play better when they are losing. I think Jamie Vardy will continue his goal scoring form, Palace will miss Dwight Gayle and I think the Foxes will just edge this one.

Norwich 1 - 1 West Brom - The Canaries cannot be any worse than they were last week at Newcastle but I still don't see them winning this one. The Baggies got a very important win last week and I can see this one being a draw.

Stoke 2 - 0 Watford - Stoke were pretty good against Swansea and probably deserved the points and I think they will be to strong for Watford. The Hornets were good for an hour last week against Arsenal but just couldn't hold on and I can see this being an easy win for the Potters.

West Ham 1 - 0 Chelsea - West Ham finally get to play one of the big boys at home and I can see them winning it, they were superb at Palace last time out. Chelsea are still not impressing me, they were pretty average in midweek against Kiev and they weren't great against Villa. A tight game but three points for The Hammers for me.

Arsenal 2 - 1 Everton - The Gunners are in very good form and they were outstanding against Bayern Munich, as for Everton they were awful last weekend and will want to improve but the way Arsenal are playing at the moment, I can't see anything else but a home win.

Sunderland 1 - 0 Newcastle - If Sunderland are ever going to win a game, it is going to be against their fierce rivals. They were a tad unlucky at West Brom last week while Newcastle tore Norwich apart. I can see a feisty game with plenty of tackles and passion but I can see a much needed win for Big Sam's men.

Bournemouth 1 - 2 Tottenham -   I can just see Spurs being a little bit to strong here, Bournemouth will cause problems and probably grab a goal but Spurs to edge it but will their Europa League adventures play a part?

Man United 2 - 1 Man City - I really cannot see United losing this game, I am not convinced by them and I don't think they are playing well but I think they will get the job done here. Man City simply have to start Kompany, otherwise it could be a long day for the back four. They were pretty average in midweek but got the job done. Will be an interesting one but United to edge it.

Southampton 1 - 1 Liverpool - It is going to take time for Jurgen Klopp to get his side playing the way he wants and that is why I think this game will end up a draw. The Saints have picked up recently and I wouldn't be shocked if they did grab the points but it is a draw for me.

I will be back Sunday! Cheers!

Saturday 17 October 2015

It's Baaaaaaack!

Hello you lovely lot! Finally the Premier League is back after another boring international break! There are a lot of good games this weekend so hopefully we should see goals, goals and more goals!

So here are my predictions for the weekend!

Tottenham 2 - 1 Liverpool - Welcome to the Premier League, Jurgen Klopp! I think this game will be a close one but I think Spurs will just about edge it as they are the home side. Liverpool have lost Danny Ings for the rest of the season which is a shame as he was quite good scoring form of late. I think Harry Kane will grab another goal.

Chelsea 1 - 0 Aston Villa - This game is a must win for Chelsea, if they lose here then Jose Mourinho is in serious trouble but Aston Villa are in woeful form and as much as I like backing the underdog, I can't back them. Diego Costa returns from his suspension and will probably start a fight as usual and not actually do anything.

Crystal Palace 2 - 0 West Ham - Palace are a very good side to watch and I can see them winning this game quite easily. West Ham have had some unbelievable results away from home but I just think they will come up short here.

Everton 2 - 2 Man Utd - I can see lots of goals in this one, Man Utd will want to bounce back from being thumped at Arsenal last time out and Louis Van Gaal will demand a response. Everton can win this game if Lukaku is in the mood as he looks very good at the moment.

Man City 2 - 0 Bournemouth - This game is an interesting one, Man City should win this game with ease but with no Sergio Aguero for 4 weeks, this could be a nervy one. I really like The Cherries and they will give it a go like they normally do.

Southampton 1 - 1 Leicester - I think this game has a draw written all over it, both sides play good football so could it be a high scoring draw, I can see Jamie Vardy scoring another here.

West Brom 0 -1 Sunderland - Sunderland have got to win at some point and now they have appointed Big Sam, I think this game will be the one. I can see it being a very cagey one but The Black Cats will want to impress their new boss.

Watford 1 - 3 Arsenal - If Arsenal really want to challenge for the title then these are the games they have to win. I think The Gunners will be to strong for Watford but they are a good side and will cause problems.

Newcastle 1 - 2 Norwich - Newcastle have to win this but I just can't see them winning at the moment and you can really feel the tension from the fans. I rate Alex Neil as a manager and I think his boys will win this.

Swansea 1 - 1 Stoke - The Swans have been pretty average recently, Gomis has stopped scoring goals and Jefferson Montero isn't playing like he was at the start of the season. I think Stoke could win this but it is a draw for me.

So there are my predictions for the week! I will be back tomorrow!

What a weekend!

Hello you lovely lot! Better late than never but welcome to a midweek special, we are now in an international break which is enthralling because England are playing the mighty Estonia and Lithuania.

Let's crack on with my round up of all the games from the Premier League!

Crystal Palace 2 - 0 West Brom - What a job, Alan Pardew is doing at Selhurst Park. Palace were superb on Saturday and The Baggies just couldn't handle them, especially Wilfred Zaha, Yannick Bolasie and Yohann Cabaye. I really think that if they can keep up this form then a Europa League spot isn't a million miles away, as for West Brom, they are not looking like a Tony Pulis side at all.

Aston Villa 0 - 1 Stoke City - Another defeat for Tim Sherwood's side and they are looking in real trouble and if it wasn't for a couple of other sides playing ever worse then they would be bottom. Villa are lacking goals, the ability to defend and any desire at the moment but fair play to Stoke because Villa Park isn't an easy place to go.

Bounemouth 1 - 1 Watford - This was a really entertaining game to watch but I am concerned about the Cherries now that Callum Wilson is out for the long term. Glenn Murray is a good player so the Bournemouth fans will hope he can carry on with the goals. Watford have found their feet in the Premier League and they play some lovely football at times.

Man City 6 - 1 Newcastle - The first half was all Newcastle and they could have been more than a goal up if it wasn't for some top goalkeeping but the second half was an absolute shambles from The Toon. Sergio Aguero scored 4 goals in 13 minutes which was unbelievable but also fantastic if you had him in your fantasy team. Newcastle are in huge trouble and I don't see them improving.

Norwich 1 - 2 Leicester - The Foxes bounced back after their humbling defeat last week and that boy Jamie Vardy just cannot stop scoring at the moment. This was a brilliant game to watch and if you would have said that at the start of the season, I would have laughed at you.

Sunderland 2 - 2 West Ham - The Black Cats threw away a 2 goal lead and had a man sent off, no real surprise that Dick Advocaat has decided to call it a day. Sunderland started off superb and looked like getting their first win of the season but once again their defensive frailties came back to haunt them and they sit second bottom and in massive trouble with no manager.

Chelsea 1 - 3 Southampton -  I didn't fancy Chelsea to win this game and their performance showed why, they were dreadful all over the pitch. Eden Hazard, Nemanja Matic, Cesc Fabregas and all of their key players from last year look all over the place at the moment. Southampton were well worth their win and should have scored more. Jose Mourinho made the best joke of the year by saying that referees are afraid to give decisions to Chelsea after Falcao's dive wasn't rewarded with a spot kick but a yellow card. Well played ref.

Everton 1 - 1 Liverpool - Brendan Rodgers's last game in charge for Liverpool, it was a gritty game and Everton had the chances to win it. Danny Ings looks good for Liverpool but it was that man Lukaku who caused all sorts of problems again.

Arsenal 3 - 0 Man United - Well that is one way to bounce back from a defeat and what a win it was. The game was pretty much over in the first 8 minutes when Alexis's lovely backheel was doubled 33 seconds later from some lovely football which ended with Ozil slotting home. The third was a belter and it was that man Alexis with a piledriver into the top corner. I haven't been convinced by United and they were awful, in fact that is an insult to awful, they were a shambles all over the pitch. Petr Cech made some important saves but it was a very easy day.

Swansea 2 - 2 Tottenham - Another entertaining game, two lovely freekicks from Eriksson and beauty of an own goal by Harry Kane which any striker would have been proud of. Swansea caused a lot of problems down the wings and if it wasn't for some world class keeping, they would have won the game.

I shall be back over the weekend to do a little round up of all the Internationals featuring all the home nations.

Until then :)

Premier League Preview!

Hello people! After a pretty disappointing week for the British sides in Europe, it is back to the Premier League! After this weekend we have another international break where England play the mighty Estonia and Lithuania which I am so excited about.....

So Let's crack on with my predictions!

Crystal Palace 2 - 0 West Brom - I really like Crystal Palace, they play some lovely football and if they carry on then Alan Pardew will be up there for manager of the year. West Brom are a funny side, they looked very good against Everton in parts but they do look very suspect at the back and I feel with Palace's creative players like Cabaye will punish them. A comfortable win for The Eagles here.

Aston Villa 1 - 1 Stoke - The Villa were a tad unlucky last weekend at Anfield and I thought Rudy Gestede looked a massive threat but once again for Tim Sherwood's side, it is the defending they aren't very good at. Stoke finally won their first game of the season last weekend but I can see this ending in a scrappy score draw.

Bounemouth 0 - 1 Watford - I really like The Cherries but the injury to Callum Wilson is a killer blow for them, I can see them struggling to score goals. Watford must've been disappointed with their defeat last weekend but I can see them sneaking a result here.

Manchester City 2 - 0 Newcastle - Make no mistake, that win for City in midweek was massive after that defeat to Spurs. I think Sergio Aguero will score here as the goal in Germany will do his confidence no harm. Newcastle were superb last week against Chelsea but once again their defensive frailties came back to haunt them.

Norwich 2 - 1 Leicester - I think this game could be a very entertaining game, Norwich conceded a last gasp equalizer at West Ham while Leicester suffered their first defeat to the hands of Arsenal. I think the home side will just about edge this but will be a good game for the neutral.

Sunderland 0 - 1 West Ham - Sunderland have been terrible and I can see another defeat here. West Ham are unbelievable away from home and I think they will win here and that will be the end of Dick Advocaat.

Chelsea 1 - 1 Southampton - This is another must win for Chelsea but I don't see them getting the win. They look all over the place at the back and I think the Saintswill take full advantage especially if Saido Mane comes up against Ivanovic.

Everton 2 - 0 Liverpool -  For me, Everton go into this game as favourites and I can see them winning this game very easily after their superb comeback at The Hawthorns. Liverpool are in poor form and they were poor on Thursday against Sion. If Lukaku is in the mood, he could tear the Liverpool back four apart.

Arsenal 2 - 1 Man United - Arsenal need to bounce back after their poor show in midweek and I actually think this is the perfect game for them. I am not convinced by Man United and this game could be a cracker. Gabriel against Anthony Martial will be an interesting battle.

Swansea 1 - 1 Tottenham - Swansea have been poor for a few weeks and I think Spurs, who will be full in confidence after thrashing Man City last week. I think this game will be end to end but a score draw for me/

I will be back over the weekend for a round up! Have a good one!

Champions League and Europa League build up!

Hello again! Welcome to a European special where I will be looking at all the games involving the British sides in the Champions League and Europa League and giving my predictions!

Champions League

Arsenal 3 - 0 Olympiacos - I think The Gunners will be to strong for the Greek side and it is a game they must win with the daunting double header against Bayern Munich coming up. Arsenal are in good form and I think they take their chances, it could be an easy win.

Porto 1 - 1 Chelsea - Jose Mourinho returns to where it all began for him and I think this could be a tricky game for his side as they aren't playing very well and the Porto will want to take advantage of that. I am sure Jose will get a very warm reception from the home faithful. I think this game will be pretty tight and that is why I am going for a score draw.

Borussia Monchengladbach 0 - 2 Man City - Surely City cannot be any worse than they were on Saturday against Tottenham but the question still remains, can they put their normally good league form into the Champions League? I think they will be to strong here and I fancy Aguero to grab a goal or 2.

Man United 2 - 0 Wolfsburg - Man United will want to win this game after the very disappointing defeat in Eindhoven last time out and I think even though I am not convinced by them so far this season, they will just about edge past the Germans but they will cause problems.

Europa League

Monaco 1 - 2 Tottenham - If Spurs would've lost on Saturday, I probably would have put this down as a draw but their confidence will be sky high and I think they will be to strong for Monaco, who aren't a bad side as they proved last year against Arsenal but in the second leg, they were all over the place. I fancy Harry Kane to score as that goal at the weekend would have done him the world of good.

Liverpool 2 - 0 Sion - I think Liverpool will win this with not a lot of problems and as Daniel Sturridge is back amongst the goals, I think he will score the goals here.

Celtic 1 - 0 Fenerbahçe - The Hoops will want to get a win after losing their lead to Ajax in the dying embers of the game, I think the home fans will get them over the line.

I will be back tomorrow for a round up of tonight's action!

Until then :)

The Drought is over as it rains goals!

Hello you lovely lot and welcome to another Strike! There were a lot of goals over the weekend and some players finally ended their long goal drought, Harry Kane was on the score sheet in Tottenham's very impressive win over Man City. Alexis Sanchez scored a hat trick as Arsenal came from a goal down to beat Leicester 5-2 in a cracking game at the King Power. Wayne Rooney also scored as Man United moved to the top of the league after beating the very disappointing Sunderland side.

So let's go over all the games and all the talking points,

Tottenham 4 - 1 Man City - I thought Man City would bounce back from their defeat to West Ham last week but losing Joe Hart due to a bad back wasn't the best way to start the day but for the first half hour they were well on top and deserved their goal which was dispatched by Kevin De Bruyne after a long run from Yaya Toure even though it may have been just offside. The goal that got Spurs level was again offside but this time it wasn't close and Man City will be disappointed but it wasn't great defending and Eric Dier's finish was top drawer. Spurs were ahead just after the break which again looked offside but it was poor goalkeeping by Willy Caballero and the third goal was again just offside but take nothing away from Harry Kane's finish which was very good from a player who keeps going and deserved his goal. Man City were all over the place for Lamela's goal and it summed up a very poor day for the boys in blue but Spurs were well worth their win.

Leicester 2 - 5 Arsenal - What a cracking of football this was, Jamie Vardy put The Foxes one up after 15 minutes and they looked well worth their lead but Theo Walcott calmly equalised 6 minutes later and then Alexis Sanchez finally got on the score sheet this season. In the second half, Arsenal looked class and were soon ahead from a Sanchez header and then a few minutes later, he completed his hat tick with a delightful shot into the bottom corner. Jamie Vardy's second goal of the afternoon was another fine finish but Oliver Giroud rounded off a very good afternoon for The Gunners who finally clicked into top gear. Leicester play some lovely football and will cause every team problems.

Liverpool 3 - 2 Aston Villa - This was a game that Liverpool simply couldn't afford to lose and they started off superb with a lovely finish from James Milner. It was good to see Daniel Sturridge back amongst the goals but the Liverpool defending was again very poor and Rudy Gestede punished them and on another day, Villa could have nicked a draw. A win is a win for Liverpool but it wasn't pretty.

Manchester United 3 - 0 Sunderland - Somehow, Manchester United are sitting on top of the league, I don't know how but they have been going about their business and winning football matches although they aren't very exciting to watch they are getting the results. Sunderland were again woeful at the back and pretty much gifted the win to United, Wayne Rooney even bagged himself a goal in a very easy win. Man United travel to The Emirates next Sunday which could be an absolute thriller.

Southampton 3 - 1 Swansea - The Saints are back to their best with another good performance against a Swansea side who don't seem right to me, not scoring many and leaking at the back. Ryan Bertrand made his first start of the season which was good to see from an England point of view.

Stoke City 2 - 1 Bournemouth - A serious looking injury for Callum Wilson kind of took the shine off which was very entertaining game at The Britannia. Stoke finally got a league win under their belt and will look to push on from here. As for Bournemouth, they only play one way and that is attack, it will lead to a few defeats but they are a good side to watch.

West Ham 2 - 2 Norwich - West Ham can beat the big sides away from home but when it comes to games they probably should win, they don't. I like the way Norwich play football and they will feel they really should have come away with a win and if it wasn't for a very late goal from Kouyate, they would have.

Newcastle 2 - 2 Chelsea - Newcastle needed a performance and they didn't let their fans down. Ayoze Perez put them one nil up just before the break and when Wijnaldum made it two, I thought that Jose Mourinho's poor record at Newcastle was going to continue but two late goals got them a very hard fought draw. Chelsea looked all over the place and if Newcastle had a little bit more confidence then Chelsea wouldn't have got anything.

Watford 0 - 1 Crystal Palace - Another win for The Eagles who are flying high and you don't have to like Alan Pardew but what a job he is doing there. Yohan Cabaye won the game with a cool finish from the spot to put Palace up to 6th in the league.

There is a game tonight between West Brom and Everton which I shall go over tomorrow, so hopefully it will have plenty of goals! It is also Champions League and Europa League week so I will go through all the games that the British sides have.

Until then :)

League Cup Special and Premier League Preview

Hello you lovely people and welcome to another Weekly Strike! There has been plenty of talking points this week with North London Derby and Mathieu Flamini scoring a goal worthy of winning any game. We also saw Liverpool really struggle against Carlisle and just about scrape through on penalties. Chelsea, Man United and Man City also got through to the next round.

So Let's start at White Hart Lane where on Wednesday night it was the North London Derby and it didn't disappoint, the atmosphere was electric and you could feel the tension. There is no such a thing as a little game between Tottenham and Arsenal where the hatred is definitely mutual and both sets of fans were class, sure there maybe songs that are not exactly very nice but this game isn't for the faint hearted. I am not going to lie to you, seeing Mikel Arteta and Flamini starting didn't give me the world of confidence as both haven't played an awful lot of football but I will gladly admit I was wrong and I feel a bit sorry for Mathieu Debuchy as well because every time he gets recalled it seems to be against a massive rival and he got the run around from Danny Rose for most of the game. It was pretty end to end in the first half and Spurs probably could have been in front if it wasn't for some last ditch defending and Harry Kane not having his shooting boots on. I am not going to lie, when I saw Flamini up there to rebound the shot which Vorm parried,  I thought oh god but he finished it with aplomb. Spurs probably deserved their goal even though it was a very unfortunate moment for Chambers who poked into his own net and if it wasn't for Kieran Gibbs being on the line, Harry Kane would have scored a pretty good scissor kick. The winner was something but it wasn't helped by some completely woeful defending from Fazio who looks terrible, he kind of just hoofed into the air and Mathieu Flamini hopped, skipped and smashed into the bottom corner to send the away fans into raptures. A quick mention about the hoarding being ripped down, while I don't condone vandalism, it happens every time between these two and anyone who wants to come to the next one will see what goes on.

Liverpool's poor form goes on as they just about got passed the League 2 side Carlisle on penalties. Brendan Rodgers has spent an awful lot of money and they have gone backwards and nobody seems to know the answer. I know you can look at the fact they have lost some of their key players like Suarez, Sterling and Sturridge due to injury but they haven't recruited well in my opinion. I think Carlisle were superb and they didn't look out of place at Anfield and if they had just a bit more quality up front they would have nicked it but they can very proud of the efforts.

Man City tore Sunderland apart in the first half hour and it's hard to see where the Black Cats are heading but they were terrible again but City took their chances and won it with ease. Man United and Chelsea won against Ipswich and Walsall respectively but did anyone see Falcao's free kick where he slipped? it's a bit sad to see a player who 2 years ago was one of the best strikers in Europe.

Predictions time! Here are my predictions for the Premier League this weekend.

Tottenham 1 - 2 Man City - I think this game will be quite a close one and I see Harry Kane finally scoring here. He was very unlucky on Wednesday but goals will come for him. City will look to bounce back from their shock defeat at home to West Ham last week and I think they will be just a little to much for Spurs.

Leicester 1 - 3 Arsenal - If Arsenal would have lost midweek, I would have gone for a home win but I think that win at Spurs will give the players confidence. It is not going to be an easy game by any means and Leicester will cause a lot of problems but I think The Gunners just edge it.

Liverpool 1 - 0 Aston Villa - Liverpool absolutely must win this game, if not then Brendan Rodgers is in massive trouble. I think they will just get over the line here but Villa will be no mugs and will be in good spirits after their win against Birmingham.

Manchester United 4 - 0 Sunderland - This really could be a cricket score, although United aren't exactly exciting to watch, I think they will run riot here as Sunderland simply can't defend and look terrible. Anthony Martial is looking a top player and I reckon if he wants, he could score a hat trick.

Southampton 2 - 1 Swansea - Southampton were a little unlucky last week but their thumping of MK Dons midweek will probably give them enough to win here. Swansea have lost their way a little recently and I think it will be another defeat here, they will cause problems but home win for me.

Stoke City 1 - 2 Bournemouth - Stoke need Ryan Shawcross back ASAP, although they got a win against Fulham midweek, I think The Cherries could continue their winning streak here. I think this game will be quite a good one.

West Ham 1 - 1 Norwich - West Ham are a funny side, beat the big boys away but don't seem to win at home! I think this game has a score draw written all over it.

Newcastle 1 - 0 Chelsea - Last week I fancied West Ham to pull off a shock at The Etihad and I am going to put my neck on the line and go for a home win. I don't know why but football is a funny old game and Newcastle simply can't get any worse can they? It's a shame we won't get to see Mitrovic and Costa have a scrap because it would be entertaining. It's either going to be a shock win for The Toon as Mourinho has a poor record there or Chelsea will run riot and score 7.

Watford 2 - 2 Crystal Palace - This game has got goals written all over it, Palace are quick side and will cause a lot of problems and they are good to watch as well. Watford will be in buoyant mood after their win last week at Newcatle.

I will be back on Sunday for round up of all the action and all the talking points.

Until then :)

Costa

Hello people, normally I would start by doing a round up from all the games but after the incidents at Stamford Bridge I do have a few things that I would like to go over first.

Chelsea 2 - 0 Arsenal
So let's start with the delightful Diego Costa shall we, I will never know how he stayed on the pitch after hitting Laurent Koscielny not once but twice in the face. I am all for players being physical because football is a contact sport but doing things like is wrong and if it was Joey Barton who did it, he will be hounded for it but as it is a player who is a talent it seems it is absolutely fine. The Referee, Mike Dean was truly awful and the way he handled the situation was unbelievable, why didn't he just separate the players and the red card for Gabriel doesn't happen. I am not condoning kicking out (if it was really a kick) but Arsenal have always been criticized for being to soft and not aggressive enough and the day that they do react it is over aggressive. There is no doubt that the red card pretty much killed the game because it was an open game and neither side were really on top. Santi Cazorla also saw red and again both were so soft and yet Diego Costa boots Oxlade-Chamberlain and still gets away with it. I don't want this blog to be all about Chelsea and my dislike for them but Saturday was an absolute joke and as for Mike Dean, well I have no words.

Aston Villa 0 - 1 West Brom - Another defeat for Tim Sherwood and they are looking in trouble and they have an even bigger Midlands Derby against Birmingham this week. Saido Berahino was back amongst the goals after his public outburst against Jeremy Peace on deadline day.

Bournemouth 2 - 0 Sunderland - What a goal by Matt Ritchie, a goal that will surely be up there for goal of the season. The Cherries were superb and they are really good to watch and Callum Wilson grabbed another goal, surely an England call up is on the horizon? Sunderland look woeful and Dick Advacaat is under massive pressure and Jermaine Defoe was guilty of missing another big chance.

Newcastle 1 - 2 Watford - Well things are no better at St James's Park, another dreadful show and they are really looking in trouble. Watford were fantastic and look like they have found their feet in the Premier League.

Stoke 2 -2 Leicester - Ryan Shawcross is a massive loss for the Potters, their back four look very edgy and he cannot come back soon enough but it was good seeing Bojan back amongst the goals. Leicester are superb, 2 goals down for a second week and again they bounce back.

Swansea 0 - 0 Everton - I really thought there would goals in this one, the only real talking point was the sending off for Kevin Mirallas which was an horrific tackle and a deserved red card.

Man City 1 - 2 West Ham - Well don't I wish I put some money on this?! I had a feeling that The Hammers would pull off a shock and what a fantastic performance it was. I don't know how West Ham have gone to The Emirates, Anfield and now The Etihad and grabbed the points but fair play but they are a funny side and will probably lose at home next week.

Tottenham 1 - 0 Crystal Palace - How Palace came away with nothing is beyond me, they hit the post twice and deserved something but football is a funny old game sometimes. Harry Kane is still looking like a player who is low on confidence.

Southampton 2 - 3 Man United - Somehow Man united are 2nd and only 2 points off the leaders city, how the hell has that happened!? This game was a thriller from start to finish and if it wasn't for some world class saves from David De Gea it could've been a lot different. Anthony Martial scored again and he does look good but he has a long way to go before he is the finished article but he has a bright future.

Liverpool 1 - 1 Norwich - Liverpool just cannot seem to win at home, after their last home outing, a mauling by West Ham, I thought the Reds would brush aside The Canaries but they just don't look like winning at Anfield. It was good to see Danny Sturridge return after a long absence but will he stay fit? Danny Ings scored his first Premier League goal for Liverpool which will do him the world of good.

Thanks for reading and I shall be back for a round up of all the big clashes from the Capital One cup including Tottenham vs Arsenal, Liverpool vs Carlisle, Man United at home to Ipswich and Chelsea's trip to Walsall. Until then!

Champions League talk and Predictions

Hello people, well not a very good week for the English clubs in the Champions League it must be said. Let's start with Manchester United who lost at PSV after going a goal up which was a very good finish by Memphis against his former club and that looked like it was going to be a routine win for United but their defending was once again their downfall. Luke Shaw was carried off with a broken leg which nobody wants to see, he has started this season very well so it is a shame for United England. The defending for PSV's equalizer was shambolic to say the least and Daley Blind was credited with an own goal. I find Manchester United incredibly dull to watch these days, no pace or creative spark. I have said it so many times but if you spend £350 million and you bring on Felliani to change a game then your head is gone.

Manchester City also tasted defeat to the hands of Juventus, City just cannot play in Europe for whatever reason and  They got a very fortunate goal off of Chiellini which looked like a foul by Vincent Kompany but it didn't last long. Paul Pogba's price tag may have risen an extra few million after he put in an excellent shift, that boy is a top player. City will struggle to get out of the group this year.

Arsenal, well what can you say apart from typical Arsenal?  Arsene Wenger made 6 changes and it definitely didn't pay off, Cech, Bellerin, Coquelin were all rested and were sorely missed. I like Mikel Arteta but I am afraid he isn't up to it anymore and I think it is time to hand the captains armband to Laurent Koscielny. Oliver Giroud was silly for getting himself sent off but I feel the referee was very poor for most of the game. The first one was a bit of petulance from Giroud but the second one was very soft in my view and it is easy to blame him for the defeat but the one person who should take every bit of the flack and that is the Manager. I hate this resting players business, pick your best team for every game.

I will keep Chelsea short and sweet, they beat Maccabi Tel Aviv, a team who are awful. Eden Hazard's penalty has just hit The International Space Station.

So Lets crack on with the predictions for this weekened!

Chelsea 1 - 1 Arsenal - Last week I would have gone for an Arsenal win but that defeat in Croatia may affect the confidence of The Gunners. If Chelsea play anything like they have been recently in the league then this could be a thriller but I do expect Eden Hazard to actually turn up and play football as he has been awful so far.

Aston Villa 2 - 0 West Brom - The defeat last week really hurt Tim Sherwood and he will expect a big reaction from his side in which could be a feisty encounter. West Brom have to play Saido Berihino to have any sort of chance of getting a result.

Bounemouth 2 - 0 Sunderland - The Cherries will know that their home form is going to be key for survival and what team better to be playing at home than Sunderland? It is going to be a long season for The Black Cats and I think they are going to struggle here.

Newcastle 1 - 0 Watford - This game is massive for Newcastle, they were terrible at West Ham and the Geordie faithful will expect nothing less than a win here. Watford surprised Swansea last week and will cause problems but I think the home fans will just push Newcastle over the line.

Stoke 2 - 2 Leicester - At the start of the season I would have put these two sides the other way round in the table but The Foxes have been playing some fantastic football and that comeback last week was quite unbelievable. Stoke haven't really got going this season and when you think of some of the players they signed, it is strange.

Swansea 2 - 1 Everton - Swansea were well and truly stung by the Hornets last week while Everton were supreme against Chelsea. This game will be very close but I am tipping Swansea just because they are the home side.

Man City 0 - 1 West Ham - This is the sort of game that Man City will end up slipping up and West Ham have already been to The Emirates and Anfield and got 3 points so I am going to go for the shock result. It is either going to be that or City will destroy The Hammers about 6 - 0.

Tottenham 1 - 2 Crystal Palace - Spurs fans were hardly jumping for joy after beating Asda Carrier Bag in the Europa League and they were caught out a few times so I think Palace could come away with the points. If Palace play anything like they did at Stamford Bridge then Spurs will be in trouble.

Liverpool 3 - 0 Norwich - I just can't see anything other than a Liverpool win here, they are a funny side and they will win here and probably lose next week. Norwich do play some good football but I think the home side will be to strong.

Southampton 2 - 0 Man Utd - Man United simply cannot defend and they do not have a striker other than lumping Marouane Felliani up there and I think the Saints can really have a go here and put more pressure on Louis Van Gaal. Luke Shaw will be a huge miss for United.

Right that shall do for now but I will be back Sunday for a round up! Have a good weekend!

Roundup!!

Hello you lovely lot! What a good weekend of football that was, unless your a Chelsea or a Liverpool fan! There were plenty of goals and talking points to go through!

Everton 3 - 1 Chelsea - What has gone wrong at Chelsea? They look completely and utterly awful all over the pitch, Eden Hazard has done a disappearing act, Diego Costa seems more concerned about starting a fight on everyone and not scoring goals. The defence is shocking and Jose Mourinho has lost the plot. Everton were superb but the substitute of Steven Naismith was a masterstroke and it paid off big time, The Scot scored a perfect hat trick and Everton were worthy winners. Chelsea are out of the title race for me already, yes it may only be September but 11 points is a massive gap and they don't even look like winning.

Arsenal 2 - 0 Stoke - The striker situation goes on at Arsenal but both forwards grabbed themselves a goal each in a pretty routine win for The Gunners. Theo Walcott has pace and will cause problems for any defence but he just isn't clinical enough for me but he took his goal very well but the pass from Mesut Ozil was out of the top drawer. Oliver Giroud has come under a lot of unfair flack recently fans of Arsenal and France but I was very glad to see him score, Arsenal would be a lot worse off if he wasn't up top and I hope he bangs a few more in.

Crystal Palace 0 - 1 Man City - A late late goal from young Nigerian  striker Iheanacho saw City continue their 100% start to the season, they are looking pretty good but I do think they are beatable. Cryatal Palace had chances to nick it but fluffed their lines. We saw probably the worst miss of the season from Jesus Navas who somehow hit it wide with an open goal, it was quite impressive to be honest.

Norwich 3 - 1 Bournemouth - Both sides like to get the ball down and play and it was a very entertaining game of football. These two sides will know that to stand any chance of surviving the drop is their home form.

Watford 1 - 0 Swansea - So Swansea draw at Chelsea and then beat Man United but lose to Watford, what a funny old game football is eh? Watford got their first win of the season even though they went down to ten men. Swansea looked pretty average but I expect them to bounce back after this defeat.

West Brom 0- 0 Southampton - I hate games that end nil nil, both sides could still be playing now and they still wouldn't score. nothing to talk about here except Saido Berihino got a mixed reaction from the West Brom faithful.

Man United 3 - 1 Liverpool - A great debut for Anthony Martial who scored a peach of goal in a pretty easy win for United. Liverpool look woeful at the back and I am not sure if Brendan Rodgers is going to see the end of this season, he has spent a lot of money on players but they don't really look any better. Christian Benteke scored a worldie but it was just a consolation in the end.

Sunderland 0 -1 Tottenham - This game looked destined for a goalless draw but my favourite player Ryan Mason popped up with a well worked goal to give Spurs a very important win. The reason I dislike Ryan Mason is because last season against Aston Villa, he got Benteke sent off for a tiny touch on the face and the way he acted really got on my wick. Sunderland should have won this as they had the chances which fell to a player who you would want it to, Jermaine Defoe but The Black Cats look in trouble already.

Leicester City 3 - 2 Aston Villa - With 20 minutes to go and Villa cruising, 2 nil up, I thought Leicester's good form had come to an end but boy was I wrong?! Claudio Ranieri is working wonders at the King Power and Riyad Mahrez is looking unbelievable at the moment. Tim Sherwood looked distraught at full time and I think he may have the Villa side in training all week to work on that defence.

West Ham 2 - 0 Newcastle - Another week and another defeat for The Toon army. Their evening didn't get off to a good start as they had to walk the last mile to get into the ground due to traffic which meant they only arrived about 50 minutes before kick off. They did ask for the game to be delayed but their request was declined. What I don't understand is why would you put West Ham against Newcastle on a Monday night? I know the Newcastle fans would travel to the moon to watch their team but why not put Leicester and Aston Villa on Monday as they are Midlands rivals and put this one on a Sunday?

So all in all a pretty good weekend of football! I will back on Thursday to go over the English clubs in the Champions League. Have a good week!

It's baaaaaaack!!!

Hello! Finally the Premier League is back! I hate International breaks, I probably should mention Wayne Rooney beating Bobby Charlton's record and is now Enlgland's all time top goal scorer, although I think Rooney is nowhere near the best striker we have seen in an England shirt.

Right let's crack on with my predictions for this weekend, there are some cracking games so hopefully we will see plenty of goals.

Everton 2 - 1 Chelsea - This is a game that Chelsea daren't lose otherwise they may aswell give up on the title already. Thibault Courtois is missing for Jose Mourinho's side and will be for a while due to having surgery on his knee. John Stones will be eager to impress the Everton faithful after being heavily linked with Chelsea all summer and I think the home side will come out on top, Chelsea do not look right at all and it could be former striker Romelu Lukaku who punishes them.

Arsenal 3 - 0 Stoke - I think Arsenal will come away with all three points as Stoke are a completely different side when they travel away to the Emirates. The Arsenal fans will be expecting to see a first home win of the season after a frustrating summer of being linked with a several strikers but not buying anyone except Petr Cech. Stoke will be missing Charlie Adam and Ibrahim Afellay who both saw red last time out and also Steven N'zonzi will be a massive miss for The Potters.

Crystal Palace 1 - 2 Man City - I really like the way Palace play football and some of their players are class, if Scott Dann or Joel Ward were playing for a top 4 team, everyone would be saying they are world class and their fans will be bouncing after their win at Chelsea last time out. Man City look awesome at the moment and I think they will just edge this but I expect Palace to put up a much better fight than Chelsea did a few weeks ago.

Norwich City 1 - 1 Bournemouth - Both sides will know what they need to do to survive and I can see a draw here. There is no doubt that Norwich are going to rely on their home form to beat the drop and as for Bounemouth they will not change their gameplan of go out and play football.

Watford 0 - 2 Swansea - The Swans are a joy to watch and they will be pushing for Europe at the end of the season. Gary Monk's side came from a goal down to beat Man United last time out and I think they will be to strong for Watford who do play some good football but I fancy Gomis to keep up the scoring here.

West Brom 1 - 2 Southampton - It's going to be an interesting afternoon at The Hawthorns, after Saido Berahino's very public outburst against Jeremy Peace. I think Saido is a very talented footballer but I thought what he done was very classless and I wonder what reaction the Baggies fans will give him. I think Southampton will just about edge this one after getting their season up and running last time out.

Manchester United 2 -0 Liverpool - I can see Man United winning this quite easily because Liverpool were torn apart by West Ham at home and I think Memphis Depay could have a field day here. Anthony Martial may get his debut after his move from Monaco for quite a ridiculous price. David De Gea has signed a new deal which should keep him at Old Trafford until at least next summer.

Sunderland 1 - 1 Tottenham - This game has draw written all over it, both sides can't seem to win games. I do think Harry Kane may grab himself a goal after his goal for England during the week and Jermaine Defoe will look to get one over on his former club.

Leicester City 2 - 0 Aston Villa - The Foxes are looking good at the moment and I expect them to win this one with ease and they have signed a quality player in Gokhan Inler from Napoli who will bring in some extra steel in the midfield.

I will be back Sunday for a round up from all the weekends action and go over all the major talking points.

Laters!

Transfer Madness

Hello people! Well on Tuesday evening, the transfer window closed and quite frankly there were some ridiculous prices going around this summer!

So let's kick off with Anthony Martial, the 19 year old who has become the most expensive teenager in history after Man United paid Monaco £36 million for his services. Man United have been linked with pretty much every player in football over the summer and more often than not, failed to their man. This transfer has touched a nerve with me because not only is it a ludicrous amount of money for a player who is uncapped for France and only has scored 11 goals but the fact that James Wilson , who is a promising youngster at United and has impressed when appeared will now fall further down the pecking order. I have said before that Louis Van Gaal is under massive pressure this year but now he is under even more this year. He has got to win a trophy otherwise his job must come under threat, he has spent over £350 million in 2 years and he changed the whole squad from top to bottom. The whole David De Gea situation is probably the biggest joke of all.

Manchester City have also spent a stupid amount of money on Raheem Sterling, who is an ok player but never in a month of Sundays is he worth £49 million but being English makes his price treble even though in my opinion he is not worth a quarter of that. Kevin De Bruyne is another one that I am stunned by, he couldn't cut it at Chelsea so went off to Wolfsburg and had a pretty good record BUT is he really going to improve Man City or play every single game? no.

Chelsea are another side who just annoy me, they have 28 players out on loan across Europe and the total cost of them all, £73 million. That is just wrong and it should be banned, they have all these young players and just loan them straight out like Reading defender Michael Hector which is the most pointless transfer because he is never going to get a game and a massive fair play to Everton for sticking to their guns and not selling John Stones.

As an Arsenal fan, I am quite happy with the squad and seeing the money floating about for players who are way overpriced, I am glad we didn't buy anyone, take Saido Berinho for example who is a decent striker and will score goals but is he worth £25 million? Of course not, English players are way overpriced and I am sick of hearing that there are too many foreign players and the English players don't get a chance, let's get real, would you trade a David Silva for a Jordan Henderson? would you swap Alexis Sanchez for Andros Townsend? if your answer was yes then you need help, the truth is, English players are just not that good.

My overall opinion of the transfer window is that it should be closed before the season starts, as much as I enjoy watching Jim White and the lovely Natalie Sawyer. If a manager cannot improve his team from June until August and has to wait until the last day then he shouldn't be in the job.

Manchester United problems, Red cards everywhere and England squad

Greetings people and welcome to a Bank Holiday Strike, I normally would do a review of all the games from the weekend but I have decided to change the format a little bit.

First place to start is Manchester United who must get the David De Gea situation sorted sooner rather than later. He is clearly better than Sergio Romero who isn't a bad shot stopper but his kicking skills are poor and I don't think the defence trust him, he was at fault for both of the Swansea goals so they either need to sell De Gea to Real Madrid or play him. Another thing with Man United is they have spent an awful lot of money over the past 2 seasons, over £350 million and can any United fan honestly say they have made much improvement? A few years ago, teams feared United and were beaten before the first whistle but these days, the fear factor has gone from Old Trafford. Manchester United have always been known for having top class strikers such as Van Nistlerooy, Cole, Sheringham and later Van Persie but now it is hard to say who the best striker at United is and they have problems because if your losing a game and your secret weapon is Maroaune Felliani then I am afraid you have issues. As for the transfer window, United have been linked to every possible player in world football but have yet to really get a massive name in and the money being mentioned is crazy, £100 million for Gareth Bale, £60 million for Thomas Muller who are unrealistic targets and now they have been linked to QPR forward, Charlie Austin who isn't a bad player and will score goals but Louis Van Gaal must know they need a forward because Wayne Rooney isn't going to score 20 goals a season anymore. Louis Van Gaal is under massive pressure this year to win something because the money they have spent will not be good enough just to finish in the top 4.

There were a lot of red cards at the weekend and some were harsh but I think the Referees called most of them correct. Alexsander Mitrovic was sent off for Newcastle after a stamp on Francis Coquelin which may have looked harsh at first but having seen it on a replay, it is a dangerous tackle and I think Andre Marriner had a brilliant game and could have produced more than the one red. At Anfield there were 2 red cards for Philippe Coutinho and Mark Noble which the first one for Coutinho was a second yellow card for a tackle where if he didn't lunge in he probably wouldn't have gone but I do wonder why players make tackles like that. I thought Mark Noble's sending off was very harsh as he has clearly won the ball, sure he may have clipped the player but it wasn't a high or out of control. Stoke City finished the game with 9 men against West Brom after Ibrahim Afellay and Charlie Adam both saw red in the first half hour. Afellay was a silly boy for raising his hand but so did Craig Gardner so in my opinion both should have gone. Charlie Adam has previous for stamping so maybe his reputation worked against him. Steven Whittaker also red for Norwich for 2 yellow card offences but what really annoyed me was the reaction of Dusan Tadic who done that imaginary yellow card signal and I absolutely hate that, yes it probably was a booking but that is a bit classless from a player had a very good game.

The England was announced for the upcoming games against San Marino and Switzerland and there are some players who I am struggling to understand how they are in and some I think should be there. I am pleased to see Jamie Vardy there because he is scoring goals and I would start him against San Marino, Fabien Delph is a strange one for me as I don't think he has played much for Man City since his move and if your not playing for your club how can you get picked for your country? Very pleased to see Jonjo Shelvey in the team because I think he is a very good player and he is underrated. Another player who is scoring goals is Callum Wilson for Bournemouth, who has scored more Premier League goals than Rooney, Kane and Walcott put together. I don't buy into this, it's to soon rubbish, if your scoring goals then surely you deserve a chance and what I have seen of Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott and Harry Kane so far this season, I think Wilson could do a job. Kieran Gibbs is a player I like BUT he can't nail a first team spot at Arsenal so again how do you get in the England team? Ryan Mason is another one for me, he is an ok player but I am not convinced. I think the England team should be based on form and I don't care how many goals Wayne Rooney has scored for England or the record to become the top scorer, he isn't scoring goals for his club. We are playing San Marino so why not pick some fresh faces to have ago, we have some cracking youngsters and if they cannot beat a team like San Marino then we may as well just give up. Tommy Elphick is a young English defender who could do a job, even Ryan Shawcross who has been once again over looked could do a half decent job. We all want England to succeed but Roy Hodgson picks the same players over and over again, I am surprised Andros Townsend didn't get a call up. Crystal Palace are second in the league and they have a few English boys who have been playing well like Scott Dann and Joel Ward who have been in great form. Jason Puncheon is another one and if anyone thinks he couldn't do a better job than Ryan Mason then I have no words for you.

Well that shall do for now and I will be back on Wednesday for a Transfer Special!

Premier League Preview

Hello there and thank god it is Friday! Yesterday it was the Champions League draw and all the English sides should be confident of making through to the knockout stages. Jose Mourinho returns to Porto, Memphis Depay plays against PSV and while Man City and Arsenal have diificult ties against Juventus and Bayern Munich.

Here are my predictions for the upcoming games of the Premier League this weekend.

Newcastle 1-2 Arsenal - It is another big game for The Gunners after drawing a blank on Monday against Liverpool. Mertesacker and Koscielny are going to missed at the back for Arsenal but they have a good record at St James's. Newcastle will hope to get their first win of the season after getting a hard earned draw at Old Trafford last time out. Tough one to call but I think Arsenal will edge it.

Aston Villa 1 - 0 Sunderland - I have gone for a home win but only just as this game could be a draw as both sides are not scoring a lot of goals. Sunderland have to improve at the back because even though they scored 6 in midweek against Exeter, they still look woeful in defence.

Bournemouth 2 - 2 Leicester - both sides will go into this game with confidence and I think this game could be a thriller and who would have said that before the season? The Cherries will want to continue their winning streak after a fantastic victory at Upton Park last weekend, Leicester are playing some lovely football and would have been a little disappointed they didn't beat Spurs last week. lots of goals in this one.

Chelsea 3 - 1 Crystal Palace - Well Chelsea earned their first victory of the campaign against West Brom but it wasn't a fantastic performance but I think they will be a little to strong for a Palace side who are becoming a very good side to watch and I think they will score here as the Chelsea back 4 look a little edgy.

Liverpool 3 - 0 West Ham - Just what has happened at West Ham, they beat Arsenal on the opening weekend and now seem to have falling off a cliff, were pretty awful against Bournemouth and now their captain Kevin Nolan has left. Liverpool were a tad unlucky not to get all three points at The Emirates but I think they will be far to strong here.

Manchester City 3 - 0 Watford - A lot of people will say that this is going to be a cricket score but there is no pressure on Watford in this one so they can go out and have a go and I think city will still cruise to victory but The Hornets will create problems.

Stoke 2 - 0 West Brom - I don't like going against Stoke at home and I think they will win this one with ease. They have had a difficult start but this one is a nice fixture for Mark Hughes's side. West Brom could and maybe should have got something out of the game against Chelsea but think this one will be a tricky one.

Tottenham 1 - 1 Everton - I have been rather disappointed with Spurs so far this season, they can't keep leads and aren't looking to great either. A Striker must come in before the deadline to relieve the pressure on Harry Kane. Everton are a dangerous side and will create a lot of problems for the Spurs backline.

Southampton 1 - 1 Norwich - Well the wheels are slowly falling off at St Mary's after a very disappointing exit from the Europa League on Thursday. I am a massive fan of the Saints but there are only so many key players you can sell before you start feeling the struggle. The Canaries will have a go and think this will be a score draw.

Swansea 2 - 1 Manchester United  - Somehow the bookies have put massive odds on Swansea which I find strange, they are playing some brilliant football and they can go into this game with a lot of confidence. Man United were good in midweek but this Swansea side are much better than the Brugge side and will really make a lot of problems for the United back four. I think Swansea will win this and keep their good run going.

Well these are my predictions and hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Brugge Clubbed by Wazza

Hello people and welcome to a Champions League special where I will be going over last nights second leg between Club Brugge and Manchester United and goals by Wayne Rooney

Manchester United eased their way into the Champions League group stages with a comfortable 4 - 0 win over Club Brugge last night. I have been a critic of Wayne Rooney recently but sometimes you have just got to hold your hands up and give credit where credit's due and last night he definitely silenced some of the doubters with a very cool hat trick. The first was a lovely dink over the keeper after a dangerous run by the Memphis who Brugge just couldn't handle over the two legs. Rooney's second was a brilliant team goal which ended with a simple tap in and the hat trick goal was another good finish from the United forward. Ander Herrera also got in on the act after a beautiful pass from Bastien Schweinsteiger. The argument will rage on about if Wayne Rooney is world class and in my honest opinion, I think he is a good player but I don't think he is world class.

Another player I would like to talk about is Javier Hernandez who had the chance to get on the score sheet but his unfortunate slip stopped that but it's the absolute sitter he missed from about 6 yards after a fantastic cross from Ashley Young, I have no idea how he managed to sky it. There is no doubt in my mind that United to need to sign a striker before the window shuts next Tuesday because although Rooney was supreme last night, they still seem a bit light up top. I have seen that LVG wants to play Fellaini as a striker this season which in some games where the defence is physical that could work but the man has no pace and I just don't understand it. The big Belgian has a presence because he is a lump and will win pretty much every header but I don't see him as a striker.

There will be tougher games to come for United in the Champions League, as good as they were last night, Club Brugge are no Bayern Munich or Barcelona who they could face in the group stage. Talking of the group stage, the draw is today which always goes on for about 4 hours before they start it.

Well that should be all for now but I will be back tomorrow for my Premier League predictions and also I will go over who all the English draw in the group stages.

Until then :)

Offside?!

Hello people, well last night was an interesting one between Arsenal and Liverpool with a lot of talking points.

First things first, let's talk about Petr Cech who after his debut against West Ham, people were asking whether he was past it or not up to it. Last night he pulled 2 absolute cracking saves from close range to keep out Christian Benteke but the one from Phillipe Coutinho was just stunning which in fairness kept us in the game The first half there is no doubt that Liverpool were on top and the new defensive partnership of Gabriel and Calum Chambers looked a little rattled at times but in the second half they looked a little more comfortable at the back. I like Chambers and think he will become a very good defender for Arsenal and England but it probably wasn't playing alongside a player who doesn't speak very good English. as for Gabriel, I think he is a top defender and want to see more of him.

Another talking point is the clear goal that was ruled out for offside against Aaron Ramsey. I don't want to lambast the officials but it was never offside and quite how Brendan Rodgers can say his shirt was offside is a little laughable especially after last week when Benteke was probably about 5 years offside. I think some kind of technology has to come in to help officials make these very tight calls. It isn't just because I am an Arsenal fan, over the weekend there was another one with Wayne Rooney being flagged offside even though he just level. As football fans we want to see goals, if a player is 5 yards offside then obviously it has to be given but I think ones like last night and Saturday, they should be given as a goal.

There is no doubt in my mind that Arsenal need a striker and this morning there are rumours about a late bid for Edison Cavani which would be a stunning signing. Liverpool defended superbly and could have nicked all 3 points with Coutinho who is undeniably a real talent. I really don't understand the reasons behind the signing of Danny Ings because he hasn't even played yet and I can't help thinking when/if Danny Sturridge gets fully fit it is going to put Ings further down the pecking order although I really don't see him as a Liverpool sort of player.

Well that should do for now but I will back to do a Champions League review of Manchester United in Belgium for their second tie against Club Brugge.

Until then :)

Premier League round up

Happy Monday people, Well what a good weekend of football that was! There was a plenty of talking points so lets crack on!

Manchester United 0 - 0 Newcastle United - If any United fan honestly can say that they don't need another striker then I am afraid you need help. Wayne Rooney looked off the pace again although he was rather unlucky with the goal that was ruled out for offside, where was this linesman last week for Bournemouth?! The first 20 minutes, I thought United were going to run riot but not taking chances in the Premier League and Newcastle grew into the game and possibly could have nicked it in the last minute. I would say a striker is a must for United and if anyone really thinks Adnan Januzaj is the man well it is going to be a long season, I think he is an ok player but he isn't a match changer in my opinion.

Crystal Palace 2 - 1 Aston Villa - Well Palace are a good side to watch aren't they? They really do play some good football and they deserved the 3 points here and I really think Scott Dann should be in contention for an England call up because he is a very good defender first and foremost but he scores goals. I also think the signing of Bakary Sako was a very good bit of business cause the man is an absolute unit and will score goals.

Leicester City 1 - 1 Tottenham - Another week and another lead lost by Spurs who look desperate for a striker to take away the pressure from Harry Kane who again looked like he is suffering from second season syndrome. Another cracking goal from Mahrez which cancelled out Delle Ali's goal a minute earlier.

Norwich 1 - 1 Stoke City - Another score draw at Carrow Road in a game that was far from a thriller but we did get to see Xherdan Shakiri for the first time who looks quality.

Sunderland 1 - 1 Swansea - There will be no man more relieved that Sunderland finally got a point than Dick Advocaat who must feared the worst when Gomis put the Swans one up right on the stroke of half time. There is no doubt that The Black Cats need some new faces before the window closes because the players are simply not good enough. Swansea will be a little disappointed that they didn't collect all three points but they are a good side to watch.

West Ham 3 - 4 Bournemouth - Well what a game this was, had absolutely everything but what a performance from Callum Wilson who scored the first hat trick of the season. West Ham were all over the place at the back and just couldn't handle Bournemouth at all and Carl Jenkinson was shown a straight red for a tug which is now the 5th red card of the season already for The Hammers, no fair play award this year then!

West Brom 2 - 3 Chelsea - Another cracking game which could have turned out different if James Morrison had scored the penalty. It was the first chance to see Pedro in a Chelsea shirt and he didn't disappoint with a goal and an assist. A massive talking point is the sending off of the Chelsea captain John Terry for pulling back Rondon which was just outside the box, there is no complaints that it was anything else other than a red and it couldn't have happened to a much nicer bloke but I do think it is the beginning of the end because he looks all over the place at the moment.

Everton 0 -2 Man City - Well Man City look awesome at the moment and are going to take some stopping. Goodison is not an easy place to go but City looked in control and now they have signed Nicolas Otamendi from Valencia they are going to be even more hard to break down.

Watford 0 - 0 Southampton - I absolutely hate nil nil draws and from what I saw of the game there isn't really much to talk about. Watford look ok at home and if they are going to survive then the home games are going to be key, as for Southampton they look very average at the moment and they have a massive game on Thursday so they must get ready for a difficult trip to Denmark.

Only one more game to come and that is the massive Monday night clash between Arsenal and Liverpool which I will do a round up tomorrow.

Have a good Monday!
